Vanessa received her Bachelors of Science degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Following that, she then received her Masters of Physician Assistant studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science in Manchester, New Hampshire in which she graduated with honors.

She has had the honor in serving the mental health community as community based rehabilitation worker (social worker)/case manager for 4 years in her hometown of Blackfoot, Idaho. She is happy for the opportunity to work in the beautiful state of Utah and continue advocating for the mental health community.

"I enjoy practicing patient centered care. Allowing the patient to understand their treatment options and tailoring treatment based on each individual is vital when it comes to mental health treatment. Some individuals thrive with use of additional resources like individual and group therapy, in addition to medication management. I really enjoy educating the patients about their diagnosis and the symptoms and triggers that can affect them."
