Cedar, the Evergreen Tree of Life

The cedar tree, whose roots extend deep into the earth, and whose branches reach towards the heavens, has been revered through the ages for both practical and spiritual significance.

Cedars are not hindered by pests, have no knots, and can live over 2000 years. They’ve been used for the doors of sacred temples, burned in cleansing ceremonies for purification, and are thought to be an entrance to higher spiritual realms.

The cedar tree teaches us to endure tumultuous times. Branches grow wide and parallel to the ground, symbolizing the process of attaining successfully higher states of consciousness & wisdom, like climbing a ladder to the divine.
